Christian Sjöström is taking a MA in furniture and spatial design at The
Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Design and previously
studied industrial design at the University of Gotland. His main focus
is furniture, but he also has the ambition to develop interior details
and products for everyday use. A strong driving force in his design
process is the challenge to find a balance between the
technical/functional demands and esthetic forms.
“As a designer I believe I have a responsibility to develop products
with the respect to man and nature. Therefore I focus on innovation,
smart functions, sustainability, usability and long-lasting design
throughout the design process”
